    Hot stamping equipment

    Hot stamping machine: This is the most common hot stamping equipment, mainly composed of heating plate, pressure plate, printing plate and other components. When working, place the hot stamping foil above the hot stamping material, heat it with a heating plate to melt the adhesive layer of the hot stamping foil, and then apply pressure with a pressure plate to transfer the color layer and adhesive layer of the hot stamping foil to the surface of the hot stamping material. The temperature, pressure, and hot stamping time parameters of the hot stamping machine can be adjusted according to the type of hot stamping material and foil.

    Cold stamping machine: Unlike hot stamping machines, cold stamping machines are devices that perform hot stamping at room temperature. It uses special adhesives and UV curing technology to first print the adhesive on the surface of the hot stamping material, then bond the hot stamping foil with the adhesive, and cure the adhesive through UV light irradiation, thereby achieving the transfer of the hot stamping foil. Cold hot stamping technology has advantages such as no need for heating and strong adaptability to materials, but the equipment and consumables costs are relatively high.

    Hot stamping process parameters

    Temperature: Temperature is one of the key parameters in the hot stamping process. Different types of hot stamping foils and materials require different hot stamping temperatures. Generally speaking, the hot stamping temperature of metal foil is relatively high, between 100-180 ℃; The temperature of colored hot stamping foil is slightly lower, between 80-160 ℃. If the temperature is too low, the adhesive layer of the hot stamping foil cannot be fully melted, resulting in weak hot stamping; If the temperature is too high, it may damage the hot stamping foil or the material being hot stamped.

    Pressure: Appropriate pressure is an important factor in ensuring the effectiveness of hot stamping. The magnitude of pressure should be determined based on factors such as the hot stamping area, the hardness of the hot stamping material, and the thickness of the hot stamping foil. Generally, the pressure range is between 2-6kg/cm ². If the pressure is too low, the hot stamping foil and the hot stamping material cannot be tightly adhered, resulting in blurry or incomplete hot stamping patterns; Excessive pressure may cause deformation of the hot stamping material, or the color layer of the hot stamping foil may be excessively compressed and lose its luster.

    Hot stamping time: The hot stamping time is usually coordinated with temperature and pressure, usually between 0.5-3 seconds. The hot stamping time is too short, and the transfer of hot stamping foil may not be complete; Excessive hot stamping time may cause the surface of the hot stamping material to overheat, affecting the quality of hot stamping and material properties.
